AgroFossilFree project was presented in AgEng2021 by our Coordinator Dr. Thanos Balafoutis (iBO-CERTH) and the audience showed great interest in its perspectives to de-fossilise EU agriculture.
AgEng2021 was held between 4th and 8th July 2021 in a virtual mode due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The online conference included scientifically-significant invited speakers, oral and poster presentations, special sessions, workshops, industry exhibition and real time discussions. Oral presentations were pre-recorded is available via live-streaming. In each session, following the presentations, there was a period in real time for questions, answers and discussion.
AgEng Conference Series is officially supported by the European Society for Agricultural Engineers (EurAgEng) and cover all aspects of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. The pandemic situation brought the world into an unusual, unexpected situation, that showed the importance of health systems, but also of science, technology and agriculture. Agricultural engineers, scientists, technicians, academics and industry has the obligation to continue contributing to improve food and feed production systems as also the distribution channels in sustainable and safety conditions. AgEng2021 gave to its participants the opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas, present innovations and discuss the state of the art and future perspectives for agricultural engineering as a motor for the sustainable future of agriculture. More than ever the AgEng2021 conference focused on New Challenges for Agricultural Engineering towards a Digital World.
