Dairy cattle farming is becoming less and less profitable, which affects the search for solutions to reduce production costs and increase productivity. Currently, innovative solutions allow for effective management of the herd, through precise administration of feed, maintaining hygiene and optimal conditions in livestock buildings, or control of animal health. Precision farming solutions in dairy cattle breeding allow for the reduction of human labour in animal handling, which also significantly reduces production costs. Modern livestock buildings also use technologies allowing for energy saving, production or recovery. These and similar issues will be discussed at the third regional workshop in Poland on “Innovative solutions for dairy farming”.
