In open field agriculture, the risk of waste and dissipation of precious means of production is the biggest question a farmer has to address.
In fact, not only a farmer has to manage large plots, often facing the difficulties which are typical of the Mediterranean bush (i.e. drought, soil impoverishment, complex geomorphological conformation), but he/she also has to foresee trends and solutions to better manage the farm and help the business grow, in accordance with the legislation and the preservation of the countryside.
In this scenario, having access to the right information is crucial.
The workshop “Renewable energies and energy efficiency in open field” on February 18, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. presents technical approaches and funding opportunities that can lead to the resolution of some of those instances, such as the reduction of water consumption, the application of energy saving technologies and photovoltaic plants to the farm, the implementation of the farming procedures given by precision agriculture. The target group of the workshop are farmers, representatives of authorities and associations, technology providers, energy consultants and all the stakeholders.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge, registration is requested. The workshop is organized as part of the EU project AgroFossilFree (www.agrofossilfree.eu).
