The Forum was organized on July 25-28 at the facilities of LAB40 business incubator, with iBO/CERTH and #WINEbility project synergizing efforts on innovation technologies.
The importance of eco-innovations in wine production has risen exponentially in recent years and is key to economic growth for the region of Drama, a border region in the north of Greece. In this youth forum, Drama Chamber identified and presented the drivers of different types of eco-innovation in the Greek wine industry. Main topics of discussion were about other initiatives to innovate the economy of border regions through cross-border cooperation. The Youth Forum was also an occasion to update AEBR’s Youth Charter for Cross-Border Cooperation. Along with workshops and discussions, participants experienced and learned about modern wine production methods including visiting various local wineries.
