A strip-till unit and subsoiler in one has been developed. The idea was born on Marcin Gryn’s farm as a result of simple experiments and because of difficulties with soil cultivation and the prevailing drought. A few years ago during the production of seedlings of vegetables, it was noticed that they grow better when the nutrient solution is applied to the soil under the root. It was decided to use the exact mechanism in the field. In addition, the soil on his farm is heavy and very compact, which causes a lot of problems when it comes to application. A few years ago, there were no machines available for small acreages that could apply the fertiliser topically and were light enough to be handled by a 70 hp tractor – he and his father had to build one themselves. Over time, the machine was improved, resulting in a unique hybrid in the country. Today, it can be used as a subsoiler, thickener and also as strip-till combination. Since the beginning, many people and companies have been involved in the process of improving the machine, and there are plans for further research into the effectiveness of the machine in the cultivation of different species such as maize and potato, as well as additions.
