BHSL has pioneered a unique method for using poultry manure as an energy source. BHSL has focused on the energy value of agricultural residues such as poultry litter and spent mushroom compost and developed an on-farm boiler system that uses the residue to produce the heat for poultry sheds and polytunnels.
